CARNIVOROUS TERRARIUM CARE
-
Your terrarium likes light, but not direct sunlight.
-
Water only when the soil and moss look dry. Use distilled water or rainwater exclusively, mist with a spray bottle if possible.
-
Open your lid once a week for a couple of hours to let your terrarium breathe.
-
Condensation is natural for closed terrariums. Constantly foggy glass is a sign there’s too much water in the system. Opening your lid will fix this too. The airflow will reduce moisture.
-
Trim and remove any brown, yellow, or dead leaves.
-
Your carnivorous plants love lots of light! For indoor care, place them next to a windowsill or use an LED grow light. They can also live outside.
-
Only use distilled water or rainwater (tap water is harmful). Pour the distilled water into the pool area of your terrarium and keep the soil moist. Never let them dry out.
-
Trim and remove any brown/black leaves. Venus flytraps go dormant in the winter but will come back in the springtime.
